My vocal truth

Often I have found that music is pleasure. Music is healing. Music is an escape. Whenever I'd set myself up for singing a phrase, I’ve experienced great distress when it “wouldn’t go my way”. The limiting beliefs we create in our heads are not true! How we talk to ourselves and “hear” ourselves is almost a distorted cognitive demon.
I think that was the lesson I had to learn.
It’s not always about the pleasure but the actual discomfort of playing through your imperfections. Music is imperfectly perfect, and if you allow yourself the vulnerability to let go, to trust, I believe the after effect is the exact and “perfect” way it should be.
Vocal trauma is real. Your daily routine, surroundings, emotional, physical, spiritual stress is all a contributor to your nervous system. How can we produce an honest sound if we’re built up with excessive trauma, self doubts - yes it is possible, but incredibly crippling.
I believe we can play and laugh, be silly, and recognize the doubts, how to address but also how to work past them.
Show up for yourself with me and together we can explore what works for you when finding your voice.
